Each year, on the Full Moon of Vesak — the most sacred day to millions of Buddhists around the world — the Ata-Pattama lantern appears across Sri Lanka, and vanishes with the dawn. The Golden Bridge of Light makes this fleeting form eternal.
The structure Sri Lankan Buddhists hold to represent Enlightenment is embedded with the teachings of the Arya Ashtangika Magga — the Noble Eightfold Path — the core teaching of the Middle Path as discoursed in the first sermon of the Lord Buddha after his Enlightenment.
Built of large crystals, magnets and metals, the monument embodies the Perfect State — the Vector Equilibrium of quantum physics, the Cuboctahedron of mathematics — so that the Light of the Universe may emanate from The Octave in the Heart of Sri Lanka: the Axis Mundi, where Heaven and Earth are connected.

View the Full Deed →Every measure of the Golden Bridge of Light is drawn from the harmonic numbers of nature — the Golden Ratio, the Fibonacci spirals of the sunflower, and the sacred counts of the Dharma.
Sacred Geometry is the key to a dimensional lock that opens when we cast our eyes upon it. Gazing upon its images can initiate an energetic process of healing — and the most sacred of them all, the Ata-Pattama, the Cuboctahedron, is held to be the Most Balanced Shape in the Universe.
Named in 1917 by the architect, systems theorist, inventor and futurist Buckminster Fuller, the Vector Equilibrium represents the ultimate and perfect state — the point at which the movement of energy arrives at absolute equilibrium: absolute silence, nothingness. It is conceptually the geometry of the zero point, the unified field — pure potential, containing an infinite amount of energy.

The zero point of the Golden Bridge of Light symbolises the heart of all creation. In Chinese medicine this zero-point energy dwells in the heart — the centre of the seven chakras.
